The ABCC was founded in 1978 and is part of the Brewery Collectibles Club of America (BCCA), formerly known as the Beer Can Collectors of America. Currently, there are 70 members in the ABCC and the BCCA has over 4,000 members in the United States and other countries.

The ABCC is based in Little Rock, but has members scattered all over Arkansas and abroad. The ABCC hosts six buy/sell/trade shows annually in various cities. The Mosquito is a bimonthly newsletter distributed to chapter members, which includes upcoming chapter events, collecting stories, member spotlights, pictures, etc.
